ShotCaller Troubleshooting
Start with the simplest check first: confirm the hub light status, the phone connection, and the target list in the app.
The hub will not reconnect
Section titled “The hub will not reconnect”Try this in order:
- Move the hub closer to your phone.
- Confirm Bluetooth is on.
- Confirm Shot Insights still has Bluetooth permission.
- If the Bluetooth icon on the home screen is black, tap it to rescan.
- Close and reopen the app if the scan does not restart.
- Check whether the hub is still connected to another phone nearby.
- Pair the hub again.
A target is not showing up
Section titled “A target is not showing up”- Confirm the hub is connected first.
- Confirm the hub has a GPS-ready status so Range is unlocked.
- Make sure the target device is fully seated on the mount.
- Wait while the red light shows the target is getting GPS.
- Confirm the adoption prompt when it appears.
- Refresh the target list or reopen Range.
Impacts are not recording correctly
Section titled “Impacts are not recording correctly”- Confirm you selected the right target.
- Recheck the distance before continuing.
- Review the session after a test shot to make sure impacts are landing where you expect.
An update did not finish
Section titled “An update did not finish”- Return to the device details screen.
- Check whether the hub has restarted.
- Reconnect the hub and see whether the update is still offered.
- Run the update again if the app prompts you to continue.
Mount or hardware isn’t holding
Section titled “Mount or hardware isn’t holding”- If the target device is loose, the hook-and-loop pad on the steel may not be seated. Reseat or re-adhere the pad, then attach and remove the mount a few times to work it in before giving it a slight twist to lock in.
- If the hub does not stay connected physically, recheck that it is fully seated on the mount key.
- Recheck the steel’s swing clearance so the target device does not contact the hanger or anything else as the steel moves.
See ShotCaller quick start for the original mounting steps.
When to contact support
Section titled “When to contact support”Contact support if the same problem repeats after you have repaired the hub, confirmed your targets, and retried the update flow.
